metal is forever.

That said, here's an advertisement for Metal Community, a headbanger's home on lj.
(In case you want to now, the band I used fer picture is Gatecrusher from Munich)

I'm about to apply at the haven and well we'll see what they think of me :O

Oh and by the happy way: I just received an answer to my abroad term application - either this winter or next summer term I'll be spending in Oslo :) I'm cheerful like a little cutlet.

[identity profile] bornfaceless.livejournal.com 2009-05-06 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Why, of course they would love you! And I am so glad you are joining :)

Yay for learning is Oslo: I am majorly jealous!

[identity profile] mijeli.livejournal.com 2009-05-06 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
I do hope so ;) So am I! I've been wanting to for quite a while, thinking it would be a little tough to get in, since there's so few members.

Anyway, don't be! Whenever you have saved up a little, I'll gladly invite you over :)

[identity profile] igloomy.livejournal.com 2009-05-06 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)

I haven't been there in so looooooooooooong! DX

[identity profile] mijeli.livejournal.com 2009-05-06 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahhh! I wasn't aware you missed it that much!?
Same for you, come visit me then whenever you have the time and money ;D
Oh and I bet you miss it. At least you already spent a significant part of your life there, and this makes you lucky :>

[identity profile] zengmar.livejournal.com 2009-05-06 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Fiiiinally. And yay for Oslo! I want to study in Europe too but don't speak any of the languages besides English. (Spanish somewhat, but not enough to get by.)

[identity profile] mijeli.livejournal.com 2009-05-06 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah let's see what happens ;)
Would you like to make an abroad term in Europe? Because I'm sure there's a lot of courses in English just as well! (I don't know a lot of Norwegian, either, so I kinda have to rely on a lot of E courses in Oslo). And you'll learn German quickly, I'm sure :) just don't hesitate. THEN WE'LL PARTY TILL TEH DEATH

[identity profile] zengmar.livejournal.com 2009-05-06 11:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Would i like to study in Europe? Hell to the fuck yes! But i will not be able to until 2 or 3 years later. :C But i am definitely going to sign up for a study abroad program.

[identity profile] mijeli.livejournal.com 2009-05-06 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Awesome! :)
2 or 3 years more don't sound like a problem, considering the current financial situation in my area :/ (not that I'm convinced it will improve that fast, but well..there's always hope) Europe will still be Europe then! And I'll be freaking welcoming you with open arms for a visit.

[identity profile] zengmar.livejournal.com 2009-05-06 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Part of my motivation to go is so i can maybe catch a concert or twenty, including bands that just won't come to the States. (Helllllloo Anathema) But i may be terribly busy with studies, so we'll see how that goes.

And i see your application at M_C now xD
If you don't get in, something's seriously wrong with the world.

[identity profile] mijeli.livejournal.com 2009-05-06 11:58 pm (UTC)(link)
This is surprising me more than just a little! o_o I always thought, the bands I like would tour through US like mad, but stop by over here for, dunno, 2 shows-!? OK I'm wrong. Noted.

Hehe thank you ;) I have not much of an idea what their standards are, so I'll just welcome the surprise!

[identity profile] zengmar.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
You guys got big summer festivals! D:< We get... fucking Ozzfest? (well ok, Maryland Deathfest is notable) ANATHEMA/MDB both at Hellfest Open Air last year + Unholy Trinity tour with Paradise Lost andfghaofmkdlahhhhKILL.ME.NOW. *weeps* If i don't get to see Anathema or Bride.... shoot me. Really. There is no point to life then. *DEPRESSION*

Watch them both finally do a North American tour while i'm studying there. God will make it happen just for the irony- that sadistic bitch.

[identity profile] safety-caesars.livejournal.com 2009-05-06 10:03 pm (UTC)(link)
AHHHH CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! That is so awesome! :D:D:D Hahahaha, you're making me (ever so slightly) wish I was still in school so that I could study abroad some more XD Well, I'll get over there someday anyhow ;D

P.S. - I FINALLY sent youa lil' package today!! It should reach you in about a week <666

[identity profile] mijeli.livejournal.com 2009-05-06 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you :>
I knoow, I now wish I had taken an abroad year while still in school, it would've been so easy. But university is cool too, they're helping me a lot!
Oh but YOU - don't dare to complain about being done!! ;D Just wait, for you it's all -starting- right now. And when the money says Yes then I'll meet you over here just as well :> By then, you're already a celebrated photographer, working on a folk metal book and a million other obscure projects.

PS. PACKAGE YAY x) You are so sweet I DON'T EVEN DESERVE THIS anyway thanks a bunch my metal partner in crime <666
*cheers with freshly opened beer*

[identity profile] ex-athanati735.livejournal.com 2009-05-06 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
If you don't get in, it's obvious that my acceptance into the community was a complete and utter fluke.

Congrats on going to Oslo. I'm a little bit jealous :P

[identity profile] mijeli.livejournal.com 2009-05-06 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Absolutely not :O I understand they can't let everyone join, otherwise the community wouldn't be that "private" (compared to other lj comms)

And thanks a lot :> Actually, leaving for a while was and is the only thing that keeps me going, so I'm more than just happy that it worked out. And same for you, come visit me if you have the money+time! :D

[identity profile] lady-shadowlily.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 03:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow, congrats on Oslo!! What will you be studying there?

[identity profile] mijeli.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll be taking courses in Journalism & Media and Library Science. And of course some Norwegian :)
Thank you!

[identity profile] nymeria-snow.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 06:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Aww, studying in Norway sounds so exciting! Congrats!
And I'm just a little bit jealous ;)

[identity profile] mijeli.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks a bunch! :)

[identity profile] nenne.livejournal.com 2010-10-29 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Have you been to Norway yet? Or did you already leave?

[identity profile] mijeli.livejournal.com 2010-10-29 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I have been - from January to June this year, so it's still very fresh in my mind! And I fell in love with it much like I hoped I would (if not with Oslo, then with other places).

Where in Norway are you from?

ETA: or actually I should ask, Hvor i Norge er du fra?

From Porsgrunn in Telemark. It's about two hours of driving south-west of Oslo.

[identity profile] mijeli.livejournal.com 2010-10-29 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)

..haha, there's probably ten mistakes in there. But Norway is a beautiful country in which I felt home easily, and I've considered moving there sometime in the future. You guys are lucky! :)

[identity profile] nenne.livejournal.com 2010-10-29 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Hva studerte du mens du var her?

[identity profile] mijeli.livejournal.com 2010-10-29 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] nenne.livejournal.com 2010-10-29 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] mijeli.livejournal.com 2010-10-29 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
(I love it, when I'm reading your replies, I can figure out pretty much every new vocabulary :D The similarities are so lovely.)

[identity profile] mijeli.livejournal.com 2010-10-29 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] nenne.livejournal.com 2010-10-29 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Tusen takk! :)
